Wednesday Update Post: My apologies for missing the promised micropatch yesterday. Others on the dev team needed donkey’s submitted code reviewed and merged or rejected so they could work in the related code without conflicts popping up, which resulted in me absolutely fragging my brain. Lowercase donkey does a lot of good work, but at times looking at his code feels like gazing into the eyes of C’thulhu. I have to do it though, because I MUST ensure that I can continue to work in the code. Nothing derails me harder than expecting code to work a certain way and finding that it has been refactored and scattered into three other files I never expected it to be in.

Today, I rallied, and I churned out 4,600 words this afternoon to scoot out the door. Leek has also indicated the start of work on the “Kihan Chorus” which should let us finally unveil another associated NPC in Phaedra’s final base that’s been coded for months.

Now that I’m back at my smutputer for the week, I’m cranking out a new scene a day Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday this week, and this is the first delivery.

• [Backer Exclusive] New Event: Gayll getting shot down! (Written & coded by Fenoxo)
  • After two rides with Gayll (+48 hours after), a new event will be added to Phaedra’s random encounter table for its first zone. You’ll be able to catch a hyrax warboy shooting down her hoverbike and intercede to prevent certain sexual slavery for the daring nuka pilot.
  • If you choose to abandon Gayll in her hour of need, she will no longer be available to provide fast transit.
  • If you fail to defeat the warboy in combat, you’ll be treated to a lengthy bad-end where you are equipped with a collar that filters your sensory input in encouraging ways. (Written by Fenoxo)
  • Defeating the warboy is integral to unlocking further sexual content with Gayll and Rummi, which I plan to deliver in the coming days.
