It’s been a minute since our last update so let me lay out what’s going on behind the scenes. Gedan has been thoroughly busy making sure our web front-end will keep running smoothly for the foreseeable future and smoothing some irritations out of our deployment process that could make it more onerous than it needs to be. lowercase donkey volunteered to implement a massive expansion for Narc and is still working through that. Leek putting together some submitted items and another content submission but faced some IRL that challenges that pulled him away from providing the content for our planned release last week. Jacques00 has been too busy polishing up a LARGE bust project for a specific character that I look forward to unveiling soon. Adjatha has been ripping out art for unreleased content like a madman, and ToonNik continues to slide WIPs for exciting new CGs into my inbox. Expect to see a new one from him soon!

In the interim, I continued my push to fill in gaps with the existing game content. Last time I was adding some proper support for hyper-endowed PCs to Tarkus’s plot dungeon. This time, I’m making it easier to give blowjobs to people on your ship that you should be able to give blowjobs to. It ain’t easy bein’ green… Adjatha

I must apologize for the lateness of this patch. I thought for sure I could blitz through the rest of the behemoths, but instead I wound up going so mad that I had to throw the progress I had made on that scene out entirely. Parser-scripting variations in text do not lend themselves to easy at-a-glance organization and categorization, and it’s worse when the markup for the start and end condition are the same as the markup for a word replacement call like [pc.cock]. I was trying myself batty trying to pull them apart to verify that the logic was sound (while also replacing CoC2-exclusive parsers with hand-coded variations) before ultimately going so nutso that I had to step away from it for a bit and reset.

Fortunately I came back with a fresh brain and was able to chunk through the rest of the behemoth code without too much struggle – and then I also discovered that the CoC2 guys actually have a tool to break apart embedded parser scripts into logically organized code-like formatting. Geddy’s stepping up and porting the functionality into our tools so we can make use of it in the future – and so I can have my revenge upon that scene. (Seriously, it’s a huge scene with some neat variations that’s worth struggling for.)

• A pile of bugfixing from lowercase donkey was caught up in the pipes, but a little extra pressure got them pushed through and into the game for this patch…
  • Fix event queue crashes including shalin singing and Dane email.
  • Fix for a recent crash in the quest log if the player has met Sylvie.
  • Fix rare sydian female crash that occurred if a player lost all their cocks in between encounters.
  • Fix some crashes due to some mismatched checks in scenes that supported the player selecting a penis: Paige shower and sparring scenes, frog girl, pirate gabilani (also improve hints here on what players need), Azra Hyper Docking.
  • Fix for a Flurry crash where the player’s genital selection was not being properly reset.
  • Fix for some swapped functions in NT football, possibly leading the game to crash trying to fill a player vagina when none existed.
  • Fix crash when trying to leave Thyvara picnic (Room not found).
  • Fix recent crash with Anno lockpicking button.
  • Fix Ramis crash where a player with no cocks could sometimes get into a scene that required them.
  • Many Tyros fixes including full support for hardlight in scene text after it was picked, and fixing his mistaken appearance as a 3.5 foot mini-taur.
  • Fixes for Uveto ‘collapse’ scenes. Fix recent issue with them not showing at all, and long standing issue where Luna was rescuing you when Jeryn or Jerome were intended.
  • Fix for the wrong Kiro scene sometimes displaying if you call on her for help getting into ZS.
  • Fix issue with a function that checked if the player had a cock and our text parser. The issue caused the wrong text to appear in some scenes.
  • Paulette scene fix that was trying to find a vagina using a cock’s index.
  • Fix price and discounted price being partially switched for grey goo upgrade.
  • Fix a display issue where the goals for the lights out minigame may have been incorrect, or even displayed the same goal for both victory and defeat.
