Yoho, the holidays be upon us once more! Guard your hearths and un-gird your loins, Verusha’s sack is full of Christmas cheer!
I’ll be frank and state that the patch isn’t as big as I’d like, but we’ve had some bigger fish back at the prep station, getting ready to be cooked:
- A third expedition for Azra has been penned by Skom, and I finally got through the initial 144 page review this week. It took me a bit to work through as Azra’s previous quests were both written by myself (Fen) – and I wanted to make sure her characterization was up to snuff and the quest itself would have as many fun choices as some of the previous ones. There’s a few requested rewrites pending, but hopefully we can get that to code soon. Many of you will be pleased to hear that being her stud (and making her pregnant) will be options on the table after it’s completed. :3
- Adjatha has also been reviewing a
300+260 page submission for a quest from another prolific TiTS author (Magenta Needle), so hopefully we’ll have keys to code on both of them soon.
I also finally kicked some dust off my forward-progress writing and laid out a plan for the fast travel location on Phaedra (getting to Shineglass is such a hassle!!!) and setting up a new ship/parts vendor. I hope to have more with them near the end of December or Early January.

- New parser: cockThicknessRange. A cockGirthRange parser was being used by some authors, but in TiTS code, “girth” refers to circumference while “thickness” refers to diameter. A decent amount of existing checks were written with GirthRange but used values indicative of diameter measurements, so a proper parser was spun up to replace the incorrect one. (Fenoxo)
- New parser: analCapacityRange. We had vaginalCapacityRange but no equivalent, so it has been added. Some authors were writing scenes that compared raw looseness values, which should be avoided, as looseness is only a small part of the capacity puzzle – a virginal centaur can handle about as much as a gaped biped, assuming all other factors are equal. - A setting for locking in preferred wetness values on the appearance screen was added by Jacques00. Typically the amount of moisture described would vary based on wetness & current lust, resulting in variability based on current arousal.

Today I’ve got two new crew toy scenes for Shekka I did myself – one for futa-equipped Shekka and one for any Shekka. We’ve also got a new transformation item for the bat-inclined by lopbat, and there’s a small expansion for Zarduk by Magenta Needle.

New patch! This was meant to come out before the weekend, but I held it back a grade while waiting on a transformation item that’s still clogging the coding pipes. You’ll have to have a bite of that tasty treat in the times to come. For now, sate yourself on the addition of a new vendor to Tavros Station’s crowded Merchant Deck – Catalina has arrived to allow for all kinds of tattoos! The system allows for custom text tattoos on most “fixed” body parts – which is to say parts that cannot be lost and regained. She also comes with a variety of her own sex scenes and Kiro-like pent-up and swelling mechanics for those into that sort of thing.
We also resurrected an older submission from TheBiologist – the SynthPussy. It was originally conceived as a basic pussy transformation, but since the text needed heavy editing anyway, I reworked it to be a more 1-to-1 feminine companion of the SynthSheath. For now, it has been added as a rare drop on Tarkus.

Woof, this patch wound up dropping about a week and a half later than I intended, but on the upside, that also means it comes in a bit thicker with content than it otherwise would – and it brings a solid chunk of backer-exclusive content into public accessibility for the free players among you. There are some additional fixes from lowercase donkey pending review – I hope to get some of those posted in a hotfix tomorrow.
(As a bit of an aside, I have definitely still been dragging post-covid. Not super bad, but it’s been a struggle getting back to full power. I STILL haven’t been back to the gym, and managed to give myself a small sinus infection cleaning all the various dust filters in the house for winter >.> Nevertheless, we press on as insistently as Cap’n Steele’s boner.)

The good news is that Covid still hasn’t killed me, and then I’m generally getting better every day. The bad news is that I’m still phlegming around a surprising amount and generally too physically wiped to keep my meat-frame in proper shape. The better news is that without sinus pressure I can think for writing & coding fine, it’s just when my sinuses are blown up that I turn into a barely cogent zombie.
So I got a whole new NPC encounter coded for the entrance to the next dungeon and even did some more writing for Kiro to interface with the crew toy system! I really, really love the concept of “Crew Toy” mode, and I hope I can keep filling in fun new things for the sluttier NPC crewmates I’ve written… The debauchery is virtually unlimited!

Okay, I’m feeling a bit better today – at least enough to get this patch out the door and write up a blog post, even if I’m doing it from laptop in bed, next to my snoozing cat. Health stuff first! I started feeling a sinus infection coming on Wednesday that blew up into full-on misery by Thursday – I’m talking every swallow coming with a fan of daggers raking down the back of my throat, that sort of thing. I tried to tough it out and was still writing it off as a rare resurgence of the gnarly sinus infections I used to battle almost monthly. (Longtime fans will no doubt remember then constant “I’m sick” blogposts that used to crop up most frequently in the CoC1 days, especially in the fall/winter months.)
Well, my ass got kicked hard. I basically lost track of the days during the weekend. I couldn’t sleep more than 2-3 hours before I’d be woken up by the pain of swallowing. Most days I spent upwards of 3-4 hours soaking in my bathtub. The fucking humidifier even got busted out to turn the bedroom into a steamy jungle. I’m fortunate that Covid seemed content to lodge itself in the nose & throat rather than the lungs, so I wasn’t coughing that much. I could at least BREATHE. But I’d still wake up in the morning with saliva the consistency of Nickelodean slime. Fevers never really got above 100, but goddamn, if this is the version of Covid I got with multiple formulations of vaccine to prep with, I shudder at what sort of state I would be in without them having had the time to give my immune system some up-gunning and training.
Please get vaccinated folks. Don’t let the cult running the CDC these days dissuade you, Covid is the real shit.
I’m feeling so much better today. I didn’t wake up soaked in sweat like yesterday, barely got any random shivers, just some weird fatigue and my sense of smell partially deafened (which another friend anecdotally confirmed happened when he was almost recovered). I’m not sure how soon I’ll be back at the main battlestation at full force, but I’m at least able to chip into the workload again in a semi-regular capacity.
Praise to the macbook dev environment!
Now onto the actual TiTS stuff!
One NPC for the next bit of Main Story Quest has been completed and coded, pending playtest debugging by yours truly. He wasn’t able to be included in this patch because he comes after at least two other encounters that are various states of writing/approval/code – and in addition, the rooms he’s meant to live in haven’t been laid out yet. (Soon.)
Amusingly enough, the author of the aforementioned mystery NPC ALSO had another expansion project in the books that just got completed and is the headliner for this particular release. Nonesuch’s Carrie and Cora get a fun little romp into the wilds of New Texas at a local swimming hole. Look forward to cannonballs, fishing, and all sorts of jiggling, giggling fun!

The Divrani Gardener has appeared to hassle you within the confines of the Phaedra’s Radwoods (the zone past the train dungeon)! She’s quite the mutagenic foe, so be careful when you tangle with her, lest you leave as perverse as the mutated of plants on Phaedra!
I put a little extra spit polish on the transformation scenes to give them more things to do on repeat interactions – instead of just changing type, you’ll change type, then gain extra length or wetness, etc as the part and scene allows. I may have to circle back and get some bug fixes for it at the end of the week. Transformation content is always a bit dicey, and I was doing a lot of bolting-on after the fact, which tends to impair me a bit.
Nevertheless, welcome to the jungle!
