The goblins are coming in hot and heavy, this time in the form of a pussy-tail-packin’ gabilani pirate skirting around the edges of Tarkus and Myrellion space. This one is a fen-crafted special, so I tried to pack in some juicy variation into her four sex scenes to scratch at itches I feel a lot of newer content has left behind.
Jacques00 has been extremely busy making subtle improvements to the user interface. Leek banged out a load of submitted items. Lowercase-donkey decided to make Chameleon-silk function in-game instead of requiring you to use your imagination. And Gedan? She’s been fighting off at least one witch’s curse if the amount of failing machinery she’s had to deal with is any indication, but she still managed to make progress on the juggling of content for Phaedra’s storyquest dungeon. Me? I paid out about five grand for some additional writing in that aforementioned quest.
I hope the holiday season is going well for all you out there. I know it can be a heckuva stressful time for many, but we’re gonna get through it together.

I think I know what happened. After the first time hunting in EVERY location, your location swaps to “Void” from whatever planet you were hunting from, which means you get the “Void” encounter list of pirates, rather than the planets, thus making it seem rare as hell to find pirates.

YES! I ran into that in testing. Was pulling my hair out for a few minutes before I figured it out.
I need to work out a fix so that grinding hunt keeps you in the same encounter cluster.
I also need to improve the pirate encounter systems for travelling. It’s a bit of a hackjob at the moment.
Is it just in the space around Tarkus/Myrellion? I’ve tries both flying between the two spaces as well as hunting space encounters while docked at them and haven’t gotten the encounter yet. I’m level 12, anything I’m missing?
Seconded. gone hunting 30+ times on each probe world individually, not one encounter.
If you mean the ‘Hunt’ option, specifically, I don’t think it can generate anything but the Corona Lord and Cyber Punk. It’s been that way since it’s introduction. I do note that it leaves you in undefined/generic Space after an encounter.
Hunt CAN produce planet-specific encounters, but only the first time, after that, you need to fly back to the planet, since you wind up in the “Void” after the first encounter.
Yeah, I think this might have been part of the problem. I was still not getting any encounters hunting after the hotfix, but eventually got an encounter by warping between tarkus and myrrelion with Paige’s navigation set to “fast.”
Considering the entire point of Hunt is to force these encounters, and how some of them seem to be kinda low proc rates (or I’m just unlucky,) this seems like something very worth fixing.
Yeaaaaaaaaah… I fucked up and it wasn’t properly enabled for non-dev builds. Should be hotfixed now if you reload.
So, is Jasvalla disabled, or something? I’ve progressed to Zheng Shi, but have yet to encounter her, and yes, b4 anyone asks, I did do the encounter on Tavros.
Oh, and before I forget, I also haven’t seen Nayna at all, either and am wondering if she’s been removed from the game. If she has, then the weather drones are pretty much useless.
I just opened up the latest public version in the browser and Nayna’s where she always has been, on the observation deck of the geological survey tower.
You have to use the hotkey to go upstairs to visit her.
Well, that’s kinda stupid, not to mention irritating for tablet users like me.
Well, nevermind me, I just encountered her on Zheng. Is the probability of running into her that low?
Jasvalla is encountered in the northern part of the mines more commonly in my experience.

I have flown between Tarkus and Myrellion 100+ times, and hunted in both areas more times than I care to admit. Am I doing something wrong? Im not finding Karnissa.
UPDATE: not doing anything wrong, just have horrible luck with her spawn rate.
You weren’t doing anything wrong, I just missed hitting one of the many switches I have to hit when patching.
It seems like I’m not able to equip Nova or interact with her. She’s currently in my inventory as armor, but when I try to click on her in the inventory, the game crashes.
Error message is:
(GooArmor) Interactable items must override interactAvailable()

Is Karnissa’s spawn rate really low? I’ve gone back and forth and done the hunt option nearly 100 times now and I’ve only seen the cyberpunk and star viper.
