If you buy Corruption of Champions 2 on Steam; note *Buy* the otherwise free game, you have to wait until the public updates nowadays and even then you miss things. It used to be the same as a backer at first, then it went to halfway between backer and public… now the updates are some weird hybrid. Sometimes we get the free stuff late, sometimes we get backer stuff with it. Its used to be 1 or 2 days late which is whatever, rarely an issue with an item missing which was a quick patch; but the last 2 months have been horrible.
the last 2 have been as such. in march, on the 19th, on the day of the public release of the wyverns, we got drifa. (note that was a backer item 12 days before. But seeing as there is not another post about drifa hitting public and they moved on its easy to assume she hit public when we got her)
It took til April 22nd for us to get the *free* Update for Wyverns they posted on site in March. We got the backer kit stuff for april on the 22nd… well some of it not all of it (again going by posts no longer being clear when previous backer stuff is hitting public its not a stretch to say that these items are in the game now for public so… we are on a worse public schedule)… along with the month and a half missing content and public release. They only do monthly updates on steam and ignore us the rest of the time for the 1 game they have.
It should be made clear from the start as , originally, we were even. Now it feels more and more like fen and team are getting really overwhelmed. I am not doing this to dunk on them but bring up concerns. If the updates are getting scrambled around for those who pay money, maybe it might be time to bring in someone trusted just to publish the right updates on a specific day monthly?
Note: I have literally NOTHING to do with CoC2. I don’t even look/comment in their devchat.
Are you sure? My understanding is that steam gives you access to the public patches. Public patches have all the content of all the previous patches, both backer and public.

No you weren’t. Steam has ALWAYS been the pub patches (and the occasional extra!) but with goodies like trading cards and cloud saves. That’s been the model from day 1.

I originally was under the impression Fenoxo ran it due to COC 1. I stand heavily corrected and apologies there.
As for the Public vs Backer; I had thought it was Backer as when I obtained it and for patches after it had backer content so to see it slow down felt hurtful and as if we were being forgotten. I now understand that was never the impression meant to be given.
Taking that into consideration, why not keep it to subscribestar/ patreon model for backers and the free version rather than a hybrid that, as you said has a sprinkle here and there but is essentially the free version, and will inevitably cause more chaos or confusion in the end for more players? I am not criticizing at this time, but genuinely wondering.
I’m not quite sure what you’re asking — but our patreon/SS backers are able to plug their backer codes into the Steam version to enjoy their content there.

Regarding video games or any product in general, usually it’s the minority that voice their critique while the larger amount of consumers still feels that way.

Sorta confused about lillybelle(who and where…)
She is the bunbut mech-suit / girlfriend of the Mad Rask.
The Mad Rask is the mind behind Tank-boss you have to defeat to recruit Paulette.
After beating him on Tarkus, he moves to Dhaal and makes Lilybelle, where the two of them will jump you as a random encounter.
Paulette is the displaced zaika cyborg living on Tarkus in a wrecked and leaking space ship. If you’re nice to her, you can recruit her to your crew (after beating the aforementioned tank-boss). Having her on your crew unlocks a variety of interplanetary dates, as well as a bonus secret boss on Dhaal (which you’ll need to acquire some special gear to outfit Paulette with in order to fight).

Are there any other triggers needed for the encounter outside of recruiting Paulette? I wandered around Dhaal for a while and never encountered them.

The Pumpking is a halloween event, and those generally are not factored into the larger scope of the game. But also her author has left and nobody has expressed interest in adopting her for such an expansion.
Ha, I get it. I find it dull to have one-offs, especially if the seasonal events come and can never be seen again. Not that it matters now with the author gone. I’m guessing it’s the same with Ithzan, and Hand So?
Same with Ithzan. Hand So’s author is still writing, but has publicly stated that he has no interest in continuing that plot line

Am I tripping or is the Nuka Raider like insanely strong? Multiple fights and I still can’t exactly pin down what to do against her. I’m mostly hoping to break her shield fast enough to just stun lock her. She basically one-taps if she wants to. Am I missing something?
