Hey guys, just wanted to touch base. I’m still working on the boss fight for Kiro’s recruitment quest. I won’t spoiler her here (I’ve done in plenty in the Tainted Space discord channel already). Her bad end is ready, and I just finished the fourth victory scene for defeating her. Still remaining are her actual combat routines, and then I get to dive into the actual texts for rescuing Kiro from her clutches.
I’d also like to add some kind of erotic puzzle segment at some point. I’ll let you know if I can figure one out. (Beyond the lovely one Wsan already compiled.)
Lighterfluid’s been working on coding B’s Eitan, the War Alpha from the invasion of Korg’ii Hold. I’ll probably have to add a cheat code for insta-recruiting him down the road since he’s ~120 pages of content to gate behind one victory path from one side quest deep in the bowels of a frozen hellhole.
I want to start chunking things into code next week, which means you all can hopefully expect an opportunity to test some WIP builds.

Actually, what I wanted to do was, if the PC has broken free from Lane’s control and is getting their 200 credits/day, you could call Lane up and offer forgiveness in exchange for hypnotizing Eitan and jumping him straight to the part where he’s a good boy. I didn’t get around to it because the commission budget didn’t allow for it.
At this point, a cheat code to jump straight to the milodan tribe square being unlocked would be much more expedient, though.

When is the next parasite¿
It’s quite possible there won’t be another parasite. However, The Biologist did write a possible event for a parasitic, pelvis-hugging, pseudo-penis, ovipositor parasite. If Fenoxo gets to it through the mountain of other submissions, including all the stuff “The Biologist” submitted before the parasite, then maybe it will get into the game. Probably not before the end of the year.

Check your devices permissions for the game and see if it allows reading/writing files. You may want to do this for every new build released that you plan on playing.
Looking forward to a lot more Kiro content, hoping for the opportunity to knock her up, main reason why is it means that Steele is the one for her in that regard and in the first Corruption of Champions Urta the fox herm in the city of tel ader went so completely out of control horny whenever she got pregnant that she savagely fucked the MC, and i for one would love to see that happen with Kiro domming and rutting Steele like a wild animal.

I know it’s technically a spoiler, but I hope you’ll indulge me anyway. The idea of recruiting Kiro has been bugging me for a while. Not “it shouldn’t happen” bugging, mind you, but more “I’m worried about how they’ll do it”. The long and short of it is that Kiro is captain of her own ship with her own reputation and goals that don’t easily mesh with those of Captain Steele. They aren’t at loggerheads, but depending on what recruitment entails it may mean that she has to sacrifice them.
This isn’t a concern unique to Kiro. I worry about the potential recruitment of Kaede, Kara, Saendra, Erra, Shizuya, and other ship captains for precisely the same reason. I worry that recruiting might entail them selling/retiring their own ship to join Steele’s crew. And – for the sake of example – knowing how much Kaede loves being captain of her own ship, it’d break my heart to hear that she chose being part of Steele’s crew to be closer to Steele and/or Anno over captaining the Talon Rouge.
So my question is simply this: Will a recruited Kiro be part of Steele’s crew, or will she just be flying with Steele “convoy-style” with the Blade as the second vessel in the Steele Fleet?

I’m kinda annoyed that the best weapons in the game for everyone but mercs is currently locked behind Akane, who is fulfilling a niche, controversial fetish at best, and a railroading tortureporn disaster at worse. When can we expect to get something to one-up the rewards from that questline?

So, which weapon is best for Tech Specialists? I haven’t done the Host sub quest stuff.
lash cannon has the second best physical damage stat in the game for a gun(next to the saumorian railgun), along with a really nice shield drain. Petras phasic whip on techspec has a wopping 40 attack. Both also have more crit and accuracy than the competition, there’s really no comparison.
What about weapons for smugglers? Also armor info would help any player who is a smuggler.
All this information is available on the wiki. look up “ranged weapon” “melee weapon” “armor slot” and the like.
Smugglers prefer crit and evasion. Dancing flashblade has the highest crit AND damage for the class (again, akane content)
most of the top ranged weapons lower evasion, however, so I’d say Teyaal’s Heavy Plasma Caster would be your best bet. otherwise get a zil champion bow for the evasion bonus and fight only with your melee slot.
I disagree that Smugglers prefer Crit Chance. I think they prefer Stun Chance because it saves a round of setup for Sneak Attack/Aimed Shot, which is most of their damage.
I’m fond of the Shock Bow (‘Crazy’ Carl, Mhen’ga at level 6) for ranged. It’s base damage isn’t very high, but it is one of only two ranged weapons with an innate Stun chance. As a bow, it qualifies for Concussive Shot (Bow Training with Tanis, the UGC Scout on Mhen’ga). The other is the Heavy Slut Ray (Slavebreakers, Zheng Shi: Defeat Overseer Maike and free the slaves), which doesn’t do HP damage, and doesn’t benefit from Aimed Shot. Trick Bracer (Urbolg, Zheng Shi) gives 20 Shields, 3 Shield Defense and 5 Evasion, only 1 below the maximum for melee weapons.
For Melee Smugglers, Custom Shock Gear (win a Spar with Shizuya) has Bonus Hit Rate, Stun Chance and 3 Evasion. Otherwise, the Stun Rod dropped by the Rat’s Raiders also has a Stun Chance.
Smugglers do benefit greatly from Evasion, so you want the Jumper Jumpsuit/Spacesuit (18/16 with Airtight). Jeweled Outfit (rescue Kiona during the Siege of Korg’ii Hold) has 16 Evasion and has the highest Sexiness in the game if you’re doing a Tease build. Because it’s Fully Exposed, you get the full benefit of Transparent underwear, so long as you don’t mind walking around with everything on display.
Don’t forget +10 Evasion from a Light Jetpack (Nerrasa, Last Chance, Uveto Station)
The Lash Cannon and the Dancing Flashblade are hardly the best weapons in the game.

The best weapons in the game take advantage of Steele’s perks.
This is why the samourian railgun is currently king for ranged mercs: kinetic damage and accuracy bonus for rapidfire.
Shizuya’s gauntlets have a natural stun and which gives huge bonuses to melee smugglers.

Stun Chance has a significant benefit to Tech Specialists as well. Level 10 gives Rapid Recharge, which restores (Intelligence/3 +3) Shields every round the Shields didn’t take damage. Every Stun gives 2 rounds of regen, making Tech Specialists with a Stun Chance extremely durable. As in, I find I don’t have to use Deflector Regeneration in most fights, even though I took Attack Drone and still use the Reaper Mk 1 Shield.
As for Ranged Mercenaries, there are two approaches. You can either go for Bonus Hit Rate, but most Ranged Bonus Hit Rate weapons also Cannot Crit (and are mostly Power Armor weapons at the high end) like the Saurmorian Railgun or the Aegis Light Machinegun. Or you can go for high Accuracy, (like the Stormbull Shotgun) and can Crit, but have no Bonus Hit Rate.
Special mention to the Tri-Beam Rifle, which has Bonus Hit Rate, a high Accuracy, and can Crit.
As an aside, the 20% extra damage for Kinetic Weapons only applies to base weapon damage. It’s not applied after Physique/Aim is factored in. A Saurmorian Railgun with 50 Aim does 66 damage, before resistances/defense. Heavy Weapons adds 8.2 damage (264 + 32.8 if all Rapid Fire hits). Concentrate Fire adds 5 or 10 damage/shot.
Also consider the Heavy Slut Ray: Bonus Hit Rate and Stun Chance. While it doesn’t normally benefit from Second Shot, it does benefit from Rapid Fire (which also gives it a fourth shot if you have Second Shot).
if you dont like them, you can just sell them. in addition to having better stats than anything else, in just raw numbers, they also sell for three times more than the best non akane equipment.

Well there is Small Penis Humiliation in the game (Though Rare it is Sera is the only one that comes to mind right now). However, your never going to experience that and NTR unless you get into a serious relationship with another NPC. And Captain Steele bumming around banging everything with at least 2 legs and a functioning mouth (and less than even that) is renders will undermine the possibility of that ever happening.
