The thing that surprised me about that scene was how long it took for him as compared to literally everyone else. I know Spider-Man is lore wise quite resilient to magic but he lasted at least twice as long as everyone else in the face of that.

There is a theory floating around that he knew he was in danger cuz of Spidersense and thats why he freaks out the way he did. Kinda tragic.
