I can’t speak for the rest of the team, but I’m ludicrously hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 and fully intending to immerse myself in the game as much as possible over the next week. Between reading Neuromancer and Snow Crash (okay, this one was an audiobook, tbh) over the past couple years and absolutely loving media like Cowboy Bebop in my early adulthood, I am literally abuzz. I am so infected with Cyberpunk fever that my minotaur OC has literally been infected by it (as drawn by Jojocite).
That doesn’t mean backers are going to get shafted. I crossed the 20 page threshold on the enemy I’ve been working on this week, and as we all know from my last “vacation”, I’m terrible at it. I expect to finish his last scene and share the raw text for his encounter via .pdf within the next week sometime, both on Patreon & SubscriberStar.
Real life is a bit of garbage fire for everyone right now, but stay safe out there until we see each other again! (I might even stream some on my twitch…)

I’m also waiting for 2077 to show up.
There are a few caveats from what the sites which got review copies have noted.
The first is: If you can get epileptic seizures from flashing lights then you might want to turn of the monitor during the start of The Braindance sequence(s). And be cautious with the rest of the game since it is 1970s,1980s neon style that lights the city in the game.
Just putting that out here since there seems to be no warning (other then the CYA one in the manual) about this.
Some sites suggest turning of ray tracing if it is active for some of the more well lit areas of the game.
Get a katana it is the only weapon that matters. And the AI for combat isn’t that good so that helps as well.
And some the sites wonder why they took Reeves as the voice for Johnny. One even joked that a computer generated voice would have been better both in range and expression.
I’m waiting for *2021* to show up! (grin)

i am commander shepard and this is my favourite comment on this website. alright now that i got a dead meme i have waited several god damn years to use i am seriously in agreement. cyberpunk fentaur is 70% lean beef 30% cyberware and 200% worthy. i steele should be able to tap that 200 times until one of them can tap no more.
Watch out for the epileptic fit inducing mechanics. And the bad smell of worker abuse.
Only CDPR could make a game I still wanna play after it crashes 4 consecutive times in the same spot… Hoping for a bug fix by the time I can actually sit down and play it.
lol i feel you. the steam release is a buggy mess but i’ve yet to encounter any game breakers yet. the tech sniper rifle is giving me so many issues.
For me the gun have run smoothly, no crashes at all even if I’ve played it almost n9n-stop from release.
Many many minor quest bugs however, quicksave really is your best friend.
So a heap of minor bugs, but only one that fucked me up, it was when I got stuck inside a house you’re not supposed to be able to enter, I somehow no-clipped into it but then I was stuck there, no way out.
But I got a pretty beefy system, so if it’s leaking or something like that it would take a long time for my game to crash due to it.

Hella dissatisfied with the character creator. I guess I got spoiled by TiTS and CoCI/II.

2077 looks interesting, but my first look of the gameplay was from one of my fav content creators whose whole shtick is to break and exploit the game as much as possible in ways the developer didn’t intend. Infinite money, 1 hit kills by stacking skills and gear, etc.
So…when he steamed a before release day promo copy he was given he showed exactly how much of a buggy mess the game is. I think I’ll wait for the first month patch or so before giving it serious consideration.
I don’t think most of CP2077’s issues are from it’s bugs as much as shitty design choices, but that may just be me.
